Dulce de Leche frolics in the fantasy jungle

This saturday (april 2nd) Dulce de Leche plays the Tribal Cafe!

José and I will be doing a pretty mellow set.

Just the two of us. 

The show is FREE and starts at 7pm

Secondhand Haunts and the final painting of March

While at the goodwill with my mom on saturday,

I found this pale pink cupcake stand.

It was a bit out of my price range ($14.99)

so my mom bought it for me. 

 Just too pretty to pass up :)

thank you mom!!!

I usually have my paint sprawled out all over 

the table next to my easel, 

so this stand makes a perfect paint tube organizer.

I've spent the last week painting 

until the wee hours of morning, and as a result,

i've finished the painting for March a week early!

Secondhand Haunts

I'm fairly simple when it comes to jewelry.

Besides some rare occasions,

My main accessories consist of a necklace

and possibly a pair of earrings.

But, I hardly ever go with out a necklace.

I use the same gold chain

and switch up the charm very often.

These are my absolute favorites.

I found this charm at an antique store on Sherman Way

about five years ago. It cost me $1.00

I dug through bags and buckets of broken jewelry

to find this charm at a swap meet in Pacoima.

It cost me under $0.25

The sloth charm, I found at Rummage Rat for $2.00

Sneak Peek

i've been sketching out some ideas for 

the march giveaway.

Here's what I have so far.

I'm not set on the background,

and still have to figure out how I'm going 

to incorporate the animal.

Last week I got an iphone.

I've decided to start a new feature

"through the owl eye lens"

(you have to say it in a southern accent for the full effect)

The dual cameras on the back of the phone look like owl eyes.

plus owls can rotate their heads 270 degrees.

which means they can see whats in front of them 

and what's behind them.

just like the iphone camera :)

These are some of the things I experienced this week.

Killsonic plays an art Gallery opening

in Beverly Hills 8pm

I'm not sure of the exact location, but you can follow us here

ALL week

March 8th-March 14th

We (killsonic + the women's choir and a new Saddam)

will be shooting an excerpt from Tongues Bloody Tongues

at Civic Center Studios.

we will be working with a director and costume designer!

Killsonic will play the closing reception for Austin Young's 

installation, "your face here"

It will be interesting to see all the portraits

unveiled from opening night.
