:::~Read this magical blog post~:::

I love love love Sandy and Jason (the creators of Enid and Edgar Vintage)
Their store is absolutely amazing (even though I've only seen it through the eyes of a performer, when 80% of their stock is hidden away in some secret cubby hole at the back of the store) They have affordable artwork, fantastic books (most under $5.oo), and an eclectic array of handmade goodies. Anyway, they wrote this quirky little post about Dulce de Leche (http://enidandedgarvintage.blogspot.com/2010/07/dulce-de-leche.html).

I'm also going to be bringing them three paintings made specifically for their store. soon. very soon. I'll post pictures when they're all finished. One down, two to go :)

Sorry to all those who have been trying to email me. The email address on my website is wrong. it's ash@ashleytaylorstuart.com. or you can email me at dulceofleche@yahoo.com. I'll be back later tonight with a link to the review the L.A. TIMES wrote about the opera tongues bloody tongues and the six pieces I promised you last week :( My time was consumed with blacking out the eyes of my fellow killsonic members and dripping black tears onto their cheeks. oh, and drumming my little heart out to three sold out nights at the REDCAT in the Walt Disney Concert Hall!

tongues bloody tongues

There's going to be this fantastical Opera (in which I will be apart of) at the Redcat in Walt Disney concert hall. Here's what they had to say about us,
"The 30-piece musicians’ collective Killsonic plays under the direction of a reanimated Saddam Hussein as they orchestrate the factious history of Iraq in the era of British rule. In a staged processional that features giant floats, ragged costumes and blaring megaphones, this high-energy processional band cries out the history of a land that has been contested for centuries."

"There's nothing like witnessing them for the first time ... Killsonic blows me away." —LA Weekly

KILLSONIC performs Tongues Bloody Tongues: 11 July, 1926 at REDCAT on July 22nd, 23rd & 24th 2010

I also made six ink drawings in promotion of the opera. I will post copies within the next few days :)
